A unusual evergreen tree from the Chilean Andes that can grow to 20m in optimal conditions. It has a long history of use with the Andean people including the use of the inner bark as soap. Today the tree is used to extract Quillaia which is used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It’s rarely grown in Australian gardens, it has thick leathery leaves, dense clusters of white flowers and a unique 5 lobed seed pod.
Most specimens are confined to botanic gardens.

Plant and Shipping Information
All plants are currently grown in 100mm to 140mm pots and will be carefully packaged, and in most cases, sent without pots.
We ship Australia wide with the exception of Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania.
We send via Express Post with a flat rate charge of $24.95.
Plants will be carefully packed and sent on Mondays and Tuesdays (regardless of day the order is placed) to reduce the amount of time the plant is packaged.
When you receive your plants we recommend you unpack them immediately and hydrate them. We recommend planting or potting your plants as soon as possible after delivery.
