Alnus nepalensis - Nepalese Alder

A large deciduous alder tree found in the subtropical highlands of the Himalayas where the tree is called Utis in Nepali. It will grow in a variety of soils provided it has amble water and is protected from strong winds and hard frosts. Rarely seen growing in Australia and is rarely available.
